In short

Construction is one of the UK's lowest adopters of AI, which makes it a real advantage for firms that start now. The quickest wins are document search across drawings, specifications and RAMS, drafting site reports and daily diaries, tender question answers and invoice matching. We fit AI around existing systems and keep competent people signing off safety documents.

What you get

  • Find anything fast

Search drawings, specs and RAMS in plain English.

  • Reports in minutes

Site diaries and progress reports drafted from notes.

  • Stronger tenders

Quality answers drafted from your past bids.

Why are construction firms slow to adopt AI?

ONS data shows only around 13% of UK construction businesses used AI in June 2026, against 58% in information and communication. Fragmented systems, site-based teams and paper-heavy processes are common reasons. That gap is an opportunity: practical tools can save significant office and site time.

Where does AI help on construction projects?

Documents and admin. AI can search across drawings, specifications, RAMS and contracts, draft site diaries and progress reports from voice notes or photos, answer tender quality questions from past bids, and match supplier invoices to orders. Safety-critical judgements stay with competent people.

Can AI help with CDM and health and safety paperwork?

It can speed up first drafts and help people find the right document, but duty holders under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations remain responsible. We build tools that draft and check for missing sections, then require a competent person to review and approve.

Do we need new software?

Rarely. We connect AI to where your documents already live, such as SharePoint, common data environments, shared drives and email. That keeps disruption low and means site teams do not have to learn a new system.

How do we measure whether AI is worth it?

Agree a baseline before anything is built: how long site managers spend on diaries and reports each week, how long bid teams take per tender, and how many invoice queries you handle. We then measure the same figures after launch, so the return is visible in hours and money, not opinion.

Construction margins are tight, so we keep first projects small and inexpensive. A single tool that saves each site manager an hour a day is worth more than an ambitious platform that nobody uses. Once a tool proves itself on one project, rolling it out to others costs far less.

We also train office and site staff together, because adoption fails when tools are designed only for the office. Short demonstrations on real project documents work better than long manuals.

How it works

  1. Free 20-minute call

Your projects, document systems and admin load.

  2. Roadmap

Ranked opportunities with time saved for office and site.

  3. Build

Fixed-price tool connected to your documents.

  4. Launch and support

Training for office and site teams, plus support.

A good fit if you

  • Main contractors and specialist subcontractors
  • Construction consultancies and surveyors
  • Firms bidding regularly on public and private tenders

Not the right fit if you

  • Automating safety sign-off without a competent person
  • Firms whose documents are not stored digitally
  • Replacing BIM or project management platforms

Questions people ask

Still unsure? Ask us on a free 20-minute call.

Can AI find the latest drawing revision?

Yes. A document assistant can search your drawing registers and folders in plain English, and we set it to prefer the latest approved revision and show the source, so people can check before acting.

Can site managers use it on their phones?

Yes. We design for mobile, including voice notes and photos, so site managers can create diary entries and reports without returning to the office.

Will AI write our RAMS?

It can produce a structured first draft from your templates and project details, which saves time. A competent person must review, adapt to the site and approve it. We never position AI as the decision-maker on safety.

Does it work with SharePoint or our CDE?

Usually. We connect to SharePoint, common data environments and shared drives through their APIs or sync. Integration is confirmed during scoping.

How long does it take?

A document search assistant or site report tool is typically live within four to eight weeks after scoping, including testing with real project documents.

What does it cost to start?

Our fixed-fee AI roadmap is £1,950 + VAT. Builds are quoted at a fixed price after scoping, so you know the cost upfront.
